Novelis – Guthrie, KY is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to join our new, expanding facility in Guthrie, KY. The Environmental Engineer is primarily accountable for all aspects of environmental management at our aluminum Recycling operations.
The Environmental Engineer holds the primary supporting role for the plant, performing the considerable detailed work required to develop and manage the ISO14001 Environmental Management System (EMS). The incumbent will be responsible for preparing, submitting, and recording environmental reports to corporate, local, state, and federal agencies and working with consultants on various environmental issues that may arise.
Additionally, the incumbent will be involved in the operations philosophies, culture, and team concepts related to the facility's management, particularly control plan development and environmental programmatic aspects and implementation.
The incumbent must keep abreast of constantly changing environmental, health, and safety regulations to ensure plant compliance and achieve acceptable standards. This position will work closely with the EHS Leader and Staff to ensure uniform policy and practice application.

Novelis’ Guthrie facility is located in Guthrie Kentucky approximately 30 minutes from the Tennessee state line near Clarksville Tennessee and Hopkinsville Kentucky. As Novelis’ newest facility Guthrie will house a heat treatment and pretreatment line that will serve the North American automotive market and employ 125 residents. In addition to hunting fishing and hiking residents enjoy the Guthrie Transportation Museum which is the hub of the city’s renewal efforts. The Guthrie team enjoys partnerships with Hopkinsville Community College Todd County High School Guthrie Fire Department and several local Rotary Clubs.
