NOVO Building Products is Hiring a Remote Director, Inside Sales

Essential Responsibilities:

• Trains new department personnel to be proficient in core job functions, and demonstrates a high standard of teamwork, professionalism, conduct, and dedication to Novo Building Products’ goals.
• Leads, trains, and creates an environment where employees are valued and motivated.
• Manages the call center with internal inside account managers.
• Communicates with customers to ensure that all their needs are understood and addressed.
• Builds strong customer relationships to maintain old business and acquire new customers.
• Collaborates with various internal departments to ensure that they fulfill all customer requests.
• Resolves complaints and keeps track of all processes that pertain to the client’s desires.
• Acts as the customer’s representative to ensure that their demands are met with a focus on improving the customer experience.
• Collects and analyzes data concerning consumer behavior to understand changing needs and makes recommendations to better the business.
• Strives to drive customer satisfaction, to increase the combined overall sales volume and profit margins for the pro sales market segment.

• Achieves monthly budgeted sales figures as well as the projection of customer sales and gross margins.
• Communicates with Purchasing Department regarding large sales and/or out-of-stock concerns.
• Directs the process for the “contact us” page on the company’s website ensuring that any inquiries are responded to in a timely fashion.
• Telesales existing and potential customers delivering increased sales opportunities; provides quotes, confirmations, introduces new products and promotions; responds promptly and professionally to customer requests.
• Procures pro sales customer order information and enters order information in a timely and accurate fashion.
• Coordinates warehouse and shipping exceptions with other departments as required.
• Creates and implements operating policies, procedures, and structures, to maximize efficiency and effectiveness by driving performance to exceed company profitability goals.
• Proactively partners and collaborates with Territory Sales Managers and Sales Directors in all matters, including proper processing of credits/returns, ensuring the paperwork is complete and that the credits/returns are accurate, implementing changes when needed.
• Reviews pricing and provides input for marketing materials.
• Monitors and approves or denies employees paid time off requests based on needs of business.
• Evaluates performance of department employees, recommends, and initiates disciplinary actions and pay increases as warranted.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• Previous sales experience with successful achievement of increasing revenue through current customers, developing new customer base, leading a sales team, and reporting results that consistently exceed expectations.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization, as well as with outside business colleagues including presenting operational performance to business leaders.
• Capability to communicate efficiently with all levels of employees, management, customers, and vendors both verbally and in written form.
• Strategic thinker and high-level business acumen with excellent experience setting, monitoring, and meeting quarterly and annual performance metrics.
• Strong ability to build and scale teams in multiple facilities and leading, motivating, coaching, and
supervising these teams.
• Established ability to manage others with strong conflict resolution skills, and willingness to work collaboratively as a team to lead, inspire, motivate, coach, and successfully supervise team.
• Advanced knowledge of computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
• Capacity to multi-task with speed and accuracy while prioritizing tasks and ability to maintain excellent organizational skills to work effectively and efficiently on multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Execution of a Non-Compete Agreement is required.
• Must have a current valid driver’s license, unrestricted except for vision correction, and good driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or comparable area of study is preferred.
• Three years’ experience in a building material sales and service environment.
• Basic understanding of the supply chain to the building materials industry.

Travel Requirements:

• Regular overnight travel throughout the region will be required.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hand to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and lifting.
