Novo Dialysis, Jamaica is Hiring a Facility Administrator Near Brooklyn, NY

Overview:

The Facility Administrator reports directly to the COO and the Medical Director. The Facility Administrator plans, organizes, directs and manages the operation of the facility, as well as implementing the policies of a dialysis center.

Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

If the nursing requirements listed below are not met, an individual may be placed in the Facility Administrator role without them; however, in the absence of these qualifications, there must be a supervising nurse at the clinic who does possess those qualifications.

Qualifications include:

· Licensed Registered Nurse in NYS (preferred, not required)

· 1-year of prior dialysis management experience preferred

· Healthcare CPR certification required

· Demonstrated ability to function in a leadership position and to perform in new and emergent situations with sound judgement

· Regulation qualified to direct dialysis nursing services

· Demonstrated working knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate in writing as well as verbally

· Must have basic computer skills; proficiency in all NRC clinical applications required within 90 days of hire

· Must be able to organize time and tasks well

· Must meet any practice requirement(s) for the relevant state

· Ability to meet minimum hospital/agency hiring standards which may include additional background clearances and orientation requirements if applicable to the program assigned to for employment

Reports to:

Chief Operating Officer & Medical Director

Responsibilities:

· Recruit, train, develop and supervise all personnel

· Plan, coordinate, and approve effective and efficient staffing to meet the needs of patients, while meeting regulations

· Plan and coordinate patient scheduling to assure timely acceptance of patients and effective staffing levels

· Establish, maintain, and submit all required records and reports concerning staff, patients, and the operational affairs of the facility

· Conduct and/or participate in both formal and informal meetings with the governing body, COO, Medical Director and the staff. Assure that appropriate staff meetings, in-service education meetings, and team patient care planning meetings are held monthly. Assure that Qualified Assessment & planning meetings are held monthly. Assure that Qualified Assessments & Performance Improvement Program are up to date.

· Continuously monitor to ensure that a sage and sanitary physical environment is maintained throughout the facility; that all equipment is maintained and functions properly; and that adequate and appropriate inventory levels of all supplies are available and used correctly

· Maintain effective personnel management and employee relations, including evaluating the performances of all personnel; approving and submitting all hours worked and counseling and disciplining employees

· Assure that the facility adheres to all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations and received continuing certifications from all statutory and regulatory agencies

· Establish and maintain a positive relationship with the area hospitals, agencies and the community

· Coordinate the functions of all departments and develop standards and methods of measuring patient care services, including a chronological record of services provided to patients as required by the ESRD Network Coordinating Council and Medicare.

· Supervise the maintenance of equipment, building areas occupied by the facility and other property belonging to the facility.

· Purchase all supplies and approve all expenditures

· Work with staff to maintain chronological, thorough and appropriate documentation in the patient record of all treatments, activities and communication with the patient, physician and other healthcare professionals

· Monitor all contractual agreements; update as needed with corporate oversight

· Review all incident reports; make recommendations and proactive relative to incidents as appropriate; report at monthly CGI meeting

· Responds effectively to inquires or complaints

· Know and understand the water treatment and mechanisms of the equipment of the facility

· Oversee the maintenance of equipment and supplies to meet current laws and regulations

· Assist, when necessary, with disinfection of equipment and supplies including but not limited to water treatment system components, bicarbonate and acid delivery systems, and dialysis machines

· Promote quality management programs through education and involvement of staff and patients in outcomes as well as overall responsibility to achieve corporate goals for quality. Leads CQI meetings and quality improvement committees

· Uphold management goals of corporation by leading staff in team concepts and promoting a team effort

· Strong ability to problem-solve, analyze, effectively communicate and use interpersonal skills to work with patients, staff, insurance companies, government and private agencies

· Responsible for recruiting, training, developing and supervising all clinical staff

Physical Requirements:

·Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

·Standing for long periods of time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $130,000.00 per year
