Novogradac & Company is Hiring a DEI Recruiting Program Manager Near Alpharetta, GA

Position Summary:

The DEI Recruitment Program Manager will play a key role in driving our efforts to attract, engage, and hire diverse talent while ensuring our recruiting processes are equitable and inclusive. This position will manage the DEI programs and initiatives and evaluate opportunities, collaborate with key stakeholders, track progress, and create long-lasting change. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Program Development:

  • Lead the development and execution of DEI recruitment programs and initiatives that align with the firm's overall DEI strategy.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving DEI within the recruiting process.
  • Create and sustain a strategic plan for DEI and talent acquisition, ensuring its implementation by all recruiters.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy with a targeted emphasis on HBCUs and PBIs.
  • Collaborate with Recruiters/Senior Recruiters in the rollout of identified recruitment strategies/programs to ensure consistent departmental execution.

Recruitment Strategy:

  • Create and implement a DEI recruitment strategy that attracts a diverse pool of candidates at all levels through hands-on efforts.
  • Collaborate with recruiters to establish diversity-related hiring goals.
  • Analyze and optimize the recruitment process to ensure fairness, equity, and transparency across multiple lines of business and locations.
  • Utilize recruiting expertise to educate and influence key stakeholders on complex decisions regarding the direction of diversity recruitment activities and programs.

Outreach and Partnerships:

  • Establish and nurture relationships with external organizations, networks, and educational institutions (HBCUs and PBIs, etc.) to expand the firm's access to diverse talent pools.
  • Represent the firm at DEI-focused recruitment events, job fairs, and conferences.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to DEI in recruiting.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Identify the data and resources needed for capturing the effectiveness of DEI strategies and establish a process for ongoing analysis.
  • Collect data to measure the effectiveness of DEI recruitment initiatives and track progress.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, insights, and gaps for strategic decision-making.
  • Create and share diversity metrics and analytics by preparing reports and presentations for senior leadership and other key stakeholders.
  • Participate in other projects as assigned.

Employee Training and Education:

  • Collaborate with Recruiting, HR, Social Impact and Training teams to develop DEI training programs for employees, especially recruiters and hiring managers.
  • Implement ongoing educational initiatives to promote a more inclusive recruiting culture.

Policy Development and Compliance:

  • Stay informed about DEI-related legal requirements and industry standards in the public accounting sector.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining DEI recruiting policies and practices.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Proven experience as a DEI Recruiter in a public accounting firm or similar professional services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of DEI concepts, best practices, and legal compliance in the context of recruitment.
  • Demonstrated experience in program and project management.
  • Proven ability to collaborate, build relationships, and influence across all levels of an organization.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication with ability to develop impactful presentations and articulate strategies clearly.
  • Data-driven and analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
  • Strong computer skills, including solid skills in the Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel) and familiarity with HRIS and recruitment software, experience with Taleo is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, performing work timely and accurately with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities and multiple projects/programs simultaneously.
  • Proactive and self-motivated; work well independently as well as part of a team.
  • Availability for domestic travel occasionally, and able to work evenings and weekends based on current needs deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree plus 3-5 years of experience in recruitment and/or DEI program experience or appropriate balance of education and work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field plus 5-7 years of experience in recruitment and/or DEI program experience. Certified Diversity and Inclusion Professional (CDP) or equivalent certification.

Experience with any of the following is helpful but not mandatory: Affordable Housing, Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), Opportunity Zones (OZ), Renewable Energy Tax Credits (RETC), Historical Tax Credits (HTC), Housing and Urban Development (HUD), New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC), Real Estate, Developers, Partnerships, Housing Authority (HA), Public Housing Authority, Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI), Community Development Entity Certification Applications (CDE), Property Compliance, Nonprofit, Single Audit, Uniform Guidance, A-133, Forecasting, Cost Segregation, Year 15 Exit, Tax-exempt bond and HOME programs.
