Role summary:

This person will report directly to the Director of Engineering and will be responsible for administrative and managing internal and external programs of varying scope and scale, to ensure they are completed according to specifications and timelines. In this role, you will be joining a world-class team that is delivering innovative solutions to tough problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as engineering’s point of contact for multiple concurrent projects (scope, budget, schedule, and resources) from project imitation to project closeout.
  • Preparing and submitting proposal and program documents, working with R&D scientists and engineers to develop necessary documentation, budget, and schedule.
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders on progress and other reporting as required to support teams ensuring they meet their targets.
  • Supporting internal stakeholders to develop new or improved systems and processes.
  • Supporting the Director of Engineering as required, including project/program administration, as well as process, procedure and guide development.
  • Developing and compiling project plans that outline project, equipment, and material needs, timelines, and budgets.
  • Communicating plan to project to internal and external stakeholders and teams.
  • Project controls including cost and schedule reporting, change management.
  • Procurement activities including procurement plans, Request for Quotes (RFQ), commercial and technical bid evaluation management, purchase requisitions and delivery expediting.
  • Researching various funding opportunities for projects.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to gather information needed to develop proposal documentation including execution plans, cost and labor estimates, project schedules, risk registers, etc..
  • Completing and submitting funding applications, informing appropriate parties of updates.
  • Reporting and reimbursement requests as required to maintain compliance with federal program requirements.
  • Ensure all contractors and subcontractors comply with government agency flow downs and reporting requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

You are:

  • A graduate with a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related scientific degree.
  • A professional with 5-10 years of relevant technical and programmatic experience.
  • Familiar with the project management lifecycle and best practices.
  • A highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative.
  • Well organized and invested in the details.
  • Able to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Consultative and engaging, able to influence senior leaders.
