Position- Controller
Location- Denver, CO
Pay- $160,000-$180,000.
NOW CFO is seeking a strong controller with a CPA to join our client's team full time. Our client is in the blue-collar industry. The ideal candidate for this position will have an active CPA and have previous experience working with companies with revenue higher than 200M. This controller will manage the accounting department and provide financial data that will assist management in making educated decisions about the company's future.
Responsibilities

• Manages the Corporate Accounting Department, ensuring precise and prompt distribution of comprehensive financial management reports, including internal and external monthly financial statements, audits, and annual budgets.
• Directs the disbursement department's operations, guaranteeing the precise and prompt handling of accounts payable, purchase orders, employee expense reports, cash management, payroll processing, and adherence to total corporate payroll tax laws.
• Supervises the Accounts Receivable department, ensuring the precise and prompt oversight of all aspects of Accounts Receivable aging, such as invoicing, payments, funding service administration (including funding reports), customer support, and the management of quarterly and year-end payroll closures, including federal and state reporting and check statistics.
• Ensures corporate tax compliance by guaranteeing the precise and prompt filing of all corporate income tax returns, maximizing benefits from all favorable tax legislation.
• Develops and upholds systems and controls that confirm the integrity of all systems, processes, and data, thereby increasing the Company's value.
• Provides the CFO/President with precise and timely assistance as needed to support his financial requirements.
• Engages in a broad range of special projects, including the continued implementation of the Vista accounting system.
• Communicates with colleagues, management, clients, and others in a respectful and professional manner.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in either Accounting or Finance, complemented by a CPA qualification.
• Proficient understanding of general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll processes, income tax, and banking operations.
• Proven expertise in technology, with a strong proficiency in Vista software.
• A minimum of ten years' direct experience in accounting management roles.
• A minimum of five years' direct accounting management experience within the construction industry.
