Pay Rate:The pay rate for this job is $19.50 / Hour
What you'll be doing as a Scale House Attendant:The Scale House Attendant is responsible for managing the weigh station operations, ensuring accurate and efficient measurement of incoming and outgoing loads, and maintaining detailed records. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate the scale system to accurately weigh trucks and loads, recording data as required. Ensure all weights and transactions are documented properly in the system.
  • Provide courteous and professional service to drivers and customers, addressing any inquiries or concerns they may have regarding weights and fees.
  • Enter data into the company's computer system, including weights, truck information, and transaction details. Verify the accuracy of all entries.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of all transactions, including weight tickets and billing information.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies. Ensure that all operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections of the scale equipment to ensure it is in proper working order. Report any issues or malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Coordinate with dispatch and other departments to ensure smooth operations and address any issues related to scale operations.
  • Assist with general office tasks such as filing, organizing paperwork, and managing correspondence as needed.
Available shifts:Shift timings - 1st shift (Day)
Monday, Tues, Fri, Sat 7am to 5pm
Job requirements:
  • Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity, such as keyboarding and machine operation, as part of the workday.
  • Occasionally required to exert physical effort in handling objects weighing less than 30 pounds.
  • Occasionally exposed to physical occupational risks, such as cuts, burns, or exposure to toxic chemicals.
  • Part of the workday involves exposure to physical environments with elements like dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes.
  • Background check and Drug Screen
