Preparation of daily, weekly and month-end estimates, including monthly attribution reporting.
Compiling data to prepare or review regulatory reporting, consisting of Form PF, CPO-PQR, ADV, Form D and UK FCA RegData returns.
Working with the Controller and CFO on the month-end close/reconciliation process with the fund administrator for multiple fund structures with a view to automating manual processes and facilitating higher value work.
Liaising with the funds administrator, auditor and tax advisor regarding audits and tax compliance, including preparation of the financial statements, tax analysis, K-1s, PFIC statements and tax returns.
Assisting with books & records of the management company and working with an external service provider for the preparation of the UK sub-investment managers books and records.
Reviewing and approving monthly investor statements from the funds administrator.
Assisting head of investor relations with the preparation of reporting, including presentations, DDQs, weekly and monthly reports, and ad-hoc requests.
Responsibility for the accounts payable process for expenses for the funds, management company and UK sub-investment manager.
Preparing expense allocations between multiple legal entities.
Flexibly handling ad-hoc projects in a organizationally flat, entrepreneurial organization.
QualificationsFive years experience, preferably including:
- Two years at a private fund focused on daily P&L using Advent Geneva and regulatory filings such as Form PF & CPO-PQR; and
- Two years at a fund administrator or Big 4 CPA firm focusing on hedge fund clients.
Bachelors or masters accounting degree.
Knowledge of Advent Geneva, Excel and Quickbooks.
Knowledge of fixed income products, such as government bonds, bond futures, swaps.
Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
