- Formulate and implement tactics to support and monitor consistent enhancement and growth of manufacturing partners associated with new project launches
- Conduct quality system and process evaluations to assess potential or existing manufacturing partner capabilities and pinpoint areas for improvement
- Identify root causes of manufacturing partner quality issues and coordinate/implement effective and prompt resolutions
- Conceptualize and develop pilot production models for new and enhanced offerings
- Design and document methodologies for process control, process optimization, testing, and inspection
- Develop and maintain all quality records and documentation in adherence to established quality processes and client requirements
- Carry out internal and external process evaluations to monitor adherence to policies and procedures
- Conceptualize and develop manufacturing partner quality enhancement programs
- Serve as primary technical resource for all matters related to quality of assigned manufacturing partners, products and/or processes
- Research solutions to technical problems and recommend cost-effective resolution approaches
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related field
- 3-5 years related experience in the manufacturing industry
- Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of plastics.
- Knowledge of electronics/electromechanical components a plus
- Advanced mathematical skills, including logarithms, quadratic equations, and metrology
- Advanced computer skills, including statistical process control (SPC) software
- Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing methods/processes, including flow, layout, assembly and production equipment
- Comprehensive knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and quality tools
- Comprehensive knowledge of electronic test equipment
- Basic management skills - planning, organization, decision-making, problem-solving, project management
- Advanced verbal communication skills, including group presentations
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to prepare complex written reports and documents
- Ability to comprehend complex verbal and written instructions
