NSC Technologies has an immediate opening for Marine Painter / Blasters in Pascagoula MS. Marine Painter / Blasters must have the ability to understand directions and follow instructions. Technically proficient in tasks, work processes, and equipment operation. Accountable for completion of daily work assignments, completion of work signatures, and QA signatures for completeness and quality of work.

Painter/Blasters - $29.61 $48 Per Diem

Marine Painter / Blaster Job Requirement:

· Painting external Ship Surfaces, including hulls, decks, and houses

· Painting internal surfaces ship board

· Brush rolling, and prepping surfaces.

· Prepares the materials and parts prior to blasting and painting.

· Operates sandblasting equipment to clean, remove corrosion or other contaminants on materials. Applies coat of paint to exterior surfaces of marine barge using a variety of tools including airless spray gun and related equipment.

· Ensure complete surface coverage designated in the specifications.

· Other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

· Ability to apply various paint coatings on ships

· Experience painting US Government vessels helpful

· 2 years industrial sandblasting or painting/spraying experience

· Proven experience working in a heavy industrial environment preferred

· Ideal candidate possesses the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team

· Good communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers

· Motivated to continuously improve and learn new skills
