Exciting Opportunity for Family Nurse Practitioner at Busy Urgent Care in La Plata, MD
Our busy Urgent Care facility in La Plata, MD, is currently seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team. We provide care to both children and adults and are looking for a professional with a minimum of 1 year of experience.

Work Schedule
  • Operating hours are from Monday to Saturday, 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, with Saturday shifts rotated among providers
Qualifications
  • Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of MD
  • 2 years of experience working as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a private practice or hospital setting
  • Proficiency in diagnosing medical issues and devising effective treatment plans
  • Strong computer skills with a good understanding of charting
  • Excellent communication skills for delivering sensitive information
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and decision-making capabilities
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Job Responsibilities
  • Treating minor illnesses and injuries
  • Proficient in suturing, splinting, and performing minor procedures such as removing foreign objects from the body
  • Obtain and record detailed medical histories of patients, including chief complaints, present conditions, and family histories
  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations covering all body systems
  • Analyze test results and examination findings to diagnose conditions and formulate treatment plans
  • Collaborate effectively with patients and healthcare teams to provide quality care
  • Refer patients to other specialists or resources when necessary
  • Prescribe medications, treatments, and recommend preventive health measures
