Mission Focus: NT Concepts is seeking an Operations Manager to support the DoD enterprise Military Housing system. This complex system of 34 web-based modules is used by over 10,000 active users to meet the housing needs of over 2.5 million service members, DoD civilians, and their families.
Clearance: Must be able to obtain Secret
Location/Flexibility: Local to the DC Metro Area
Responsibilities:

• The operations manager ensures that release schedules are met. This involves coordinating tasks, monitoring progress, and adjusting schedules as needed.
• Oversees daily operations of the program to ensure the functionality, availability, security, and communications
• Proactively identifies and manages operational risks and mitigates effectively
• Oversees the effective use of IT resources (such as servers, storage, network infrastructure, developers, testing, and release management). This includes optimizing resource allocation and capacity planning by coordinating with respective team leads.
• Coordinate across internal teams, timetables, budgets, and the reporting to project stakeholders
• Coordinate the resolution of issues related to production. This involves troubleshooting technical problems, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with vendors and teaming partners. Effective communication ensures smooth service delivery and timely problem resolution.
• Delivers reports, program specific data, and other relevant information to end-users/stakeholders as needed.
• Ensures proper relationships with customers (internal or external). This involves understanding user needs, addressing concerns, and maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Assist in staff supervision across the program involved in development, database, quality, testing, hosting, and release management teams. This includes assigning tasks, providing guidance, and evaluating performance.
• Exhibits leadership qualities, such as decision-making, conflict resolution, and team motivation.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in a technical discipline.
• 5 years of experience in managing software development operations or related fields.
• Demonstrates practical expertise and familiarity with industry best practices in streamlining operations while ensuring quality.
• Prior experience managing cross functional teams that can include subcontractor personnel.
• Experience in hiring and training personnel for excellent service delivery on the program.
• Ensure accurate and timely information flow to the government customer and end-users.
• Facilitate team meetings and ensure effective communication to deliver high-quality results.
• Active/Ability to obtain Security or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (must be obtained within 6 months of start date)

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift 10-15 pounds at times.
