Job Description

This position is responsible for performing installation, repair, maintenance of telecommunication equipment in subscriber premises.

This position may be required to perform a variety of other duties as assigned in addition to those listed below.

• Perform installation duties without direct supervision, such as protectors, inside wiring, phones, routers, modems, and misc signal enhancement technology devices.
• Knowledge of computers, printers, security systems, smart homes, and other IOT devices.
• Splice cable from a circuit schematic and update records as needed.
• Maintenance / Troubleshooting of cable plant for emergency restorations, cut-overs, and installations.
• Locate buried cable and assist contractors / excavators in the event cables are non-locatable.
• Operate machinery and towing trailers safely.
• Installation and troubleshooting of POTS and DSL / Ethernet services.
• CO operations that include but not limited to : run jumpers, replace / reboot failed equipment, monitor DC power systems, and restore AC power system with generator.
