Overview

• Our client is seeking a Lead ServiceNow Analyst to join the IT Service Management Office. The Lead ServiceNow Analyst assists the ServiceNow Platform Lead while also working independently researching, developing, and clarifying development enhancements to the ServiceNow platform. The Lead ServiceNow Analyst captures business requirements in the form of Agile stories, and ensures business stakeholder concurrence prior to handing off the requirements to ServiceNow developers for work. The Lead ServiceNow Analyst will manage the backlog of requirements by overseeing incoming ideas and requests related to ServiceNow, ensuring the backlog is well-maintained, prioritizing enhancements effectively, and providing support to the ServiceNow Platform Lead in maintaining and implementing enhancements.

General responsibilities include:

• Gather and organize business requirements related to all process areas, including service requests, incidents, and configurations.

• Collaborate with the ServiceNow development team to lead the analysis and documentation of business requirements and enhancements for the ServiceNow application.

• Provide high-level organizational support and demonstrate independence in troubleshooting and resolving issues.

• Utilize experience with ServiceNow modules to effectively translate business requirements into actionable tasks for developers.

• Demonstrate strong administrative and organizational skills in managing backlogs and prioritizing enhancement requests.

• Analyze and navigate complex systems effectively, addressing roadblocks and finding middle ground solutions for nuanced requests.

• Utilize Agile methodologies, particularly Agile Sprint, to support the team in implementing enhancements.

• Capture requirements related to incident, change, and problem modules within the ServiceNow platform.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to create user stories and process diagrams to facilitate understanding and communication of requirements.

• Leverage IT service management experience to ensure alignment with industry best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of professional experience – with a heavy emphasis in business analysis.

• In-depth knowledge of at least two ServiceNow modules (Incident, Problem, Change, or/or Service Request Management).

• In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow workflows with an understanding of how changes to fields, configurations, etc. will impact backend tables, functionality, etc.

• Strong working experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Strong working experience gathering and documenting business requirements, user stories, and process diagrams.

• Experience capturing and documenting requirements from varying levels of stakeholders, and then partnering with Developers to implement system/software changes.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Possesses a Master's Degree.

• Certified Scrum Master – or similar certification.
