Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel-Arkansas (NSA) has an opening for Material Handling Shift Supervisor. The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Leadership role in promoting Nucor's mission ensuring that Safety is instilled as a value with a strong focus on Quality and Environmental Stewardship.
Establish and communicate expectations, develop best practices, and ensure consistency and reliability in all work relationships.
Assessing performance at the team, individual, department, and division level.
Leadership role in continual improvement of our division.
Developing team members through training, individual reviews, and coaching sessions

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor Steel Arkansas will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED
Minimum of five years of experience in operations, logistics, or maintenance in manufacturing.
Leadership experience in operations, logistics, or maintenance in manufacturing.

Preferred Qualifications:

Post high school degree(s) in related field or equivalent experience.
Steel mill experience.
