Numisma Bank is a new Greenwich Connecticut-based technology-forward bank focused on currency trading with physical deliveries.

As an internationally focused organization, Numisma Bank’s customers include foreign and global banks, central banks and a select group of non-bank financial institutions. Numisma Bank’s leadership team is comprised of former senior executives with Goldman Sachs, White & Case, Morgan Stanley, and Dimensional Fund Advisors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide timely legal advice and support, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various contracts, legal documents, and transactional agreements.
• Collaborate closely with the Chief Administrative Officer to manage legal risks and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop corporate policies and procedures.
• Analyze evolving laws, rules and regulations impacting financial services.
• Communicate with regulatory bodies and industry associations regarding changes in laws and policies affecting the business.
• Proactively identify and address key legal issues for management.
• Support all regulatory inquiries, inspections/examinations related to the compliance mandate, including coordination of stakeholders to respond, preparation of responses, collection, and organization of documentation for provision to the regulators.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and Admission to the State Bar.
• Experienced in law firms, industry, or regulatory environments.
• Substantial background in financial institutions and corporate law.
• Flexibility and adaptability that is consistent with a startup environment.
• Ability to multi-task, under pressure and tight deadlines; strong project management skills, and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
• Strategic thinking, excellent judgement, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and people skills
• Demonstrated team collaboration and relationship-building skills.
• Strong orientation to ethical values and a compliance culture
• Top 25% of graduating class from a top 50 US Law school is preferred.

GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION

Numisma Bank is headquartered in Greenwich, Connecticut and is commutable via car and mass transit from the tristate area. The bank’s team currently works remotely on Monday and Friday
