Job Description: ER RN (Traveler)Position Title: ER RN
Location: Port Huron, MI
Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Work Schedule: 4x12-hour shifts per week
Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Port Huron, MI. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency care, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. This position involves working night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, four days a week.
Key Responsibilities:Patient Care:Provide direct patient care in the emergency room, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes.
Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed.
Monitor and document patient vital signs and symptoms, communicating any changes to the healthcare team promptly.
Collaboration:Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Participate in the development and implementation of individualized patient care plans.
Emergency Response:Respond quickly and efficiently to medical emergencies, providing life-saving care and stabilizing patients.
Perform advanced life support procedures, including CPR and use of defibrillators.
Documentation:Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring timely and precise documentation of care provided.
Utilize electronic health record systems to input and retrieve patient information.
Patient Advocacy:Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
Advocate for the needs and rights of patients within the healthcare system.
Qualifications:
  • Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in an emergency room setting.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; TNCC certification preferred.
Skills:
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
Working Conditions:
  • Environment: Emergency room setting, requiring physical stamina and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Hours: Night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, four 12-hour shifts per week.
  • Travel: This is a travel assignment; candidates must be willing to work on a temporary basis in Port Huron, MI.
