The Nurse Manager is responsible for implementing strategies and activities designed to achieve and support uncompromising quality, exceptional patient safety, and an outstanding patient/resident/family experience. This role fosters staff development, staff empowerment, collegial relationships, and best practices in nursing care. The Nurse Manager allocates resources to promote efficient, effective, compassionate, and fiscally responsible nursing care. This role also ensures the coordination of care across department lines through systems that promote interdisciplinary collaboration and communication. The Nurse Manager participates in the recruitment, selection, and retention of personnel and ensures appropriate orientation, education, credentialing, and ongoing professional development for those accountable to them.
