Job Summary:As a Registered Nurse in the Observation Unit, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team to provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.
Salary Range:
- $27.72 per hour (up to 5 years of experience)
- $33.00 per hour (up to 10 years of experience)
- $36.30 per hour (up to 15 years of experience)
- $39.60 per hour (15 years of experience)
Shift Differentials:
- $3.00 for nights
- $2.00 for weekends
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000 (case-by-case basis)
Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case basis
Shifts Available:
- Days (7 AM - 7 PM) with rotating weekends
- Nights (7 PM - 7 AM) with rotating weekends

Patient Ratio: 1:5 - 1:6
Responsibilities:
- Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication
- Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology
Requirements:
- 1 year of recent RN experience (acute care experience strongly preferred, LTAC experience considered)
- Florida RN license or appropriate compact licensure (active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire if holding a compact license)
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS certification preferred (required within 6 months of hire)
- BSN preferred
