Assist in the scheduling of new students;
Attend after-school group leader meetings with administration to discuss upcoming events, student learning and achievement, group concerns/needs, and areas within the school to celebrate as well as those in need of improvement. These meetings would not exceed a total of 25 hours per year.
Act as liaison as needed between the group teachers and:
o Administration
o PTO
o ScIP
o Non-group members (i.e., phys ed, WL, electives) as needed
Be supportive of the responsibilities of all group members including:
monitoring students’ academic and behavioral progress in academic classes and communicate any concerns/issues to parents, school counselors, CST, and administration
coordinating group/parent conferences as needed
communicating with non-group teachers as needed
planning and coordinating class-wide activities, trips, events, and ceremonies
maintaining exchange of information with department of special services and the child study group
focusing on the use of the Danielson Framework as lens for effective planning and instruction
collaborating on common assessments and cross curricular activities
using data to drive instruction
coordinating the development of interventions / strategies for students who need extra support
assisting school administration in the implementation of school-wide initiatives
creating and maintaining group norms and effectively utilizing group planning time
adhering to daily agenda
defining the need for, developing or obtaining, leading, and participating in professional development
