Job purpose

Responsible for all aspects of formulation for nutraceuticals such as formula development and overseeing the whole formulation/blending process.

Duties and responsibilities

Learn how to operate manufacturing equipment and consistently produce high quality products in a safe and efficient manner.

Manufacture products according to approved formulas.

Maintain accurate batch records and all paperwork required for this position.

Ensures all formulation activities are developed in accordance with FDA policies, laws, quality standards, SOPs and safety requirements. Maintains & promotes good housekeeping (order & cleanliness) and safe behavior in the formulation labs.

Assist with maintaining organization of warehouse including inventory control.

Thoroughly clean manufacturing equipment after each production run.

Check all equipment for maintenance issues and cleanliness before starting a new product.

Gain a good understanding of the equipment needed to mix the product per formulation.

Assist with physical inventories to insure the proper amount of each raw material was added to the batch.

Record production data and information as requested by supervisor, including but not limited to time tracking.

Accurate measuring of ingredients.

Maintain full compliance with all safety requirements and strictly adhere to PPE required to handle all materials used during the blending process.

Qualifications

Analytical skills pertaining to nutraceuticals manufacturing and laboratory activities

High school diploma, GED equivalent or applicable experience in a manufacturing environment. Preference will be given to candidates who possess experience working in a nutraceuticals manufacturing facility for a minimum of six months, and experience with blending or packaging equipment

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge in GMP compliance, FDA regulations, statistics and manufacturing experience are required.

Experience both developing and implementing quality programs.

Experience with validations and audits is highly preferred.

Must be able to work independently in a fast paced, growing environment.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office, documentation management system and inventory management systems are all encouraged.
