What you will do:

  • Support job function training, assessments, competency, and compliance training needs of the SHE, Quality, DOT, Procurement and Ammonia and Urea areas.
  • Map out training plans, design and develop training programs (outsourced or in-house)
  • Choose appropriate training methods per case (simulations, mentoring, on the job training, professional development classes etc.)
  • Market available training opportunities to employees and provide necessary information.
  • Conduct organization wide needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed.
  • Use accepted education principles and track new training methods and techniques.
  • Design and prepare educational aids and materials.
  • Assess instructional effectiveness and summarize evaluation reports determining the impact of training on employee skills.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with matter experts regarding instructional design.
  • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment.
  • Maintain employee training records, training assignments /curricula and courses in the LMS and generates training exceptions reports.
  • Assist site personnel with system technical issues.
  • Responsible for development of content in the LCMS or acts as reviewer for other authors.
  • Update LMS and LCMS courses with appropriate content, links, videos, etc.
  • Maintain accuracy of the employee demographic and course curricula data.
  • Ensure current and accurate records retention is being captured through the current LMS and paper-training files and meets records retention filing standards.
  • Provide input for identifying, defining, and assessing present and future training needs for employees via Learning Needs Analysis for areas of responsibility.
  • Coordinate and maintain certification programs for operator and other personnel for areas of responsibility.
  • Audit training content/materials to ensure materials are evergreen with site and compliance requirements.
  • Facilitates training programs as necessary. Assists in the delivery of the new hire orientation training program.
  • Provides coaching to on content development and training methodology to SMEs, area leaders, etc.
  • Maintain site training calendar.
  • Strategic planner in developing department goals, objectives, and processes.
  • Orders supplies for Training team.
  • Provides general administrative and project support for team. handle logistics for training. activities including venues and equipment.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external training supplier.
  • Coordinate off-site training activities for employees.
  • Design and apply assessment tools to measure training effectiveness.
  • Organize, develop, or source training programs to meet specific training needs.
  • Identify internal and external training programs to address competency gaps.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders regarding employee training needs.


What you will bring:

  • Advanced degree in Business or Human Resources field preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus 5 years’ experience in a training profession.
  • Knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation.
  • Understanding of complete full training cycle.
  • Knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools.
