Waypoint Analytical is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nutrien, LTD.The Biology Laboratory Technician will be responsible for supporting the Biology Laboratory by following methodologies and preparing samples.
What you will do:
- Prepare samples for a wide variety of testing procedures, following outlined methodologies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Operate and maintain scientific equipment/instrumentation.
- Document activities and report results accurately and concisely.
- Assist group leaders and analysists in ordering and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of laboratory equipment and work areas.
- Model our core value of safety by enabling a culture in which you are actively contributing to a safe work environment.
- Other duties as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
- 1-3 years of previous experience working in an a laboratory is preferred.
- Knowledge of analytical methods, instruments, general lab practices, and lab safety preferred.
