NW Employment Solutions is Hiring a CNC Machine Operator Near Sherwood, OR

NW Employment is partnered with a Veteran owned Heavy Equipment manufacturing company in Sherwood, OR, and we are looking to add CNC Machinists to join our team!

Starting Wages: $24-$30 DOE

Swing Shift Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 2:00pm-12:30am

Job Overview:

This job involves using blueprints and sketches to determine the finished products' size and measurements. You will need to choose, align, and secure tools and check that the machine settings are accurate. Additionally, you will operate different machines, including CNC Lathes and VMC Machines, and make changes to CNC programs. You will mostly run mild steel with some weldments, aluminum, and cast iron while keeping safety, quality, and production standards in mind. You will also be responsible for maintaining the machines and following standard procedures.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of hands-on CNC experience or educational / trade school training
  • Set up and operate mills and lathes.
  • Ability to read a blueprint and understand GD&T
  • Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed)
  • Fanuc and Haas control panels' knowledge
  • Setup fixturing and tooling (including machine offsets)
  • Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, depth micrometers, bore micrometers, and height gauges.
  • A high degree of patience and attention to detail
  • Confers with Engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g., constant use of protective gear)
  • Must be able to pass background check, drug screen, and pre-employment physical

Highly Preferred:

  • Knowledge of hand G-code programming
  • Experience with Mastercam X8/NC-CAM 7/CNC mill and lathe
