Position Summary:

We have immediate opening for a full time M-Pulse parts ordering and Maintenance scheduler the primary purpose is to improve Manufacturing Site’s Maintenance productivity and work quality by anticipating or eliminating potential Maintenance delays through planning and coordination of labor, parts and material, tools and equipment, required permits, specialized documentation, and equipment access.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

M-Pulse-

  • Responsible for maintenance of records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters.
  • Accurate data entry of all parts based on rolling stock and machine centers based on recommended manufacturers service schedules
  • Receives and reviews all non-emergency work orders. Reviews and screens each work order to see that it has been properly filled out with the required information by the requestor.
  • Identifies and obtains the materials required.
  • Ensures safety needs are given top priority in work planning and scheduling.
  • Works with facility leaders to properly prioritize work and ensure proper resource allocation.
  • Distribute (via email) and post weekend work schedules one week prior to due date
  • Manage reoccurring preventative maintenance work orders
  • Performs post job reviews to ensure actual work performed and post maintenance testing was adequate. Identify changes needed to PM program based on activity results.
  • Quality Assurance of received merchandise.
  • Inventory control.
  • Budget Management
  • Parts Kitting
  • Interface with the Maintenance Lead to prioritize incoming work requests
  • Communicate maintenance issues to Maintenance Lead, for proper delegation of work
  • Attend/Participate in maintenance crew meetings and other group functional meetings/training.

Boiler Operation-

  • Conducts routine daily maintenance/cleaning of boiler equipment.
  • Inspects equipment before and after every shift and reports any concerns to Management promptly.
  • Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
  • Other tasks and duties, as assigned by Management.
  • Adheres to OSHA requirements and company policies/procedures to ensure safety always. 

Key Safety/Housekeeping Responsibilities:

  • Wear proper PPE, always as required
  • Ensure area of responsibility remains neat and clean
  • Perform housekeeping regularly
  • Actively participate and positively contribute to the safety program
  • Report all safety incidents (including near misses) 

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Previous experience as a rolling stock service scheduler and or parts counter order specialist and including the following:
  • Familiarity of the full functions of a maintenance & parts tracking system (M-pulse System) preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and be able to work safely and methodically
  • Personality: Upbeat, energetic personality encouraged
  • Communications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. required
  • Proven ability to be a self-motivated and a self-starter required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and Outlook preferred
  • Travel to multiple sites as needed. Mostly day trips.
