POSITION OVERVIEW
The Bar Manager maintains excellent customer service for all residents and guests. The Bar Manager will oversee and manage any locations in the RDU area.
POSITION AUTHORITY
The Bar Manager will oversee and manage all bar staff and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Determine staff scheduling/weekly marketing meetings
  • Ensure staff adherence of company policy and procedures
  • Generate weekly and monthly financial reporting to include sales, tax and tip distribution
  • Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and patrons
  • Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks/drinks
  • Assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations
  • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
  • Plan and present bar menu
  • Maintain cleanliness of bar area
  • Ensure policies and procedures are in place to check identification to confirm legal drinking age
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
  • Arrangement of food options to include executing order, accepting delivery, presentation and clean up when necessary.
  • Oversee and organize any special events or theme nights
  • Manage POS to include inventory updates, close outs, customer directory and membership enrollments
  • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
  • Comply with all ABC regulations
  • Keep up to date inventory records and file with ABC board
  • Respond to all customer feedback within a timely manner and notify management promptly if an issue escalates
  • Train new hires on POS and SOP's
  • Oversee social media post and customer communication of events
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School degree or equivalent
  • 4 years Bar experience (private club experience preferred)
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends
  • Successfully pass a drug screen
  • Demonstrate an ability to support and contribute to community team
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills
  • Operate Square POS, MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook and community software
  • Must possess a positive attitude and the ability to smile under all circumstances
  • Neat, clean, professional at all times throughout the workday and/or whenever present at the community
  • Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the employee handbook
