Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and execution of NYCP's annual giving program, including crowdfunding, email campaigns, peer-to-peer fundraising, micro-campaigns, and community philanthropy initiatives to achieve donor growth targets.
  • Provide administrative support for the Individual Giving team, focusing on enhancing relationships with mid-level and major donors through effective communication and stewardship strategies.
  • Create comprehensive donor profiles and support event execution, including key NYCP events, including the Fill the Bag Spring Benefit, June Dick Cattani Golf Outing, Associate Board Spring Soirée, and Programs Team events.
  • Lead a team of 10 NYCP charity runners, ensuring effective communication, material distribution, and support on race day.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Major Gifts Officer to create and measure the impact of customized digital fundraising campaigns, ensuring engaging and personalized donor experiences.
  • Support the design and delivery of digital and direct mail fundraising communications, managing content creation, mailing list administration, and performance tracking to optimize engagement.
  • Utilize digital tools and platforms, such as Haku and Classy, to execute innovative fundraising initiatives, continually seeking ways to leverage technology for donor engagement.
  • Conduct regular audits of digital fundraising materials and platforms to ensure an optimal user experience, making adjustments based on donor feedback and analytics insights.
  • Manage and update major donor information in Raiser’s Edge, including conducting donor research, prospecting, and maintaining accurate contact reports to support strategic engagement efforts.
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of stewardship activities, including preparing impact reports, thank you postcards, and cards for special occasions, to foster a strong sense of community and appreciation among donors.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of fundraising campaigns, using metrics and analytics to guide adjustments and improve outcomes.
  • Handle all administrative details associated with board committee meetings, including preparing notices, agendas, minutes, and other necessary documentation to ensure efficient operation.
  • Engage in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to NYCP's mission and growth.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of development and digital fundraising experience is required, with the potential and aspirations to build a career within the field.
  • Commitment to helping communities in need and NYCP’s work and mission.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail and an articulate telephone manner.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including prioritizing deadlines and coordinating hybrid work schedules based on departmental needs.
  • Accomplished interpersonal skills with the diplomacy and poise required to deal with board members, volunteers, and major and high-profile donors.
  • Effective team player and demonstrates a collaborative approach when working with colleagues.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, with previous Raiser’s Edge experience a plus.
