Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Geotech to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a multifaceted individual that enjoys working outdoors, finding gold, and processing core.

Responsibilities:

• Drill Core Management: Handling, prepping, and managing drill samples with precision and attention to detail.
• Core Logging: Maintain records of core data and collaborate with the geology staff to develop accurate deposit datasets.
• Gold Panning: Examine washed sediment core samples reduced to concentrate for gold value evaluation as well as gold bearing sediments in an active placer gold mining operation.
• Field Operations: Conduct field surveys, collect geological data, and contribute to the overall geological assessment of the mine site.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and your team.
• Equipment Operation: Operate various geotechnical tools and machinery including light vehicles, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a placer mining or exploration environment is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Work conditions: Indoor; Outdoor (Sub-Arctic climate); Able to lift 50 lbs.; Able to walk over variable ground conditions including muddy, rocky, vegetation and water covered ground.
• Live and work in a remote Alaska mine camp for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work 12 hour shift 7 days a week.
• FIFO for the duration of the season.
• Work well with a diverse team of miners.
