K-12 GATE/Instructional Coach/ELL Advocate
Beatty Schools
150 Days, 8.5 Hours per Day
Funding Source: Split Funding
Salary Range: $51,323-$103,407

JOB GOAL: Support teachers and administrators in using data to improve instruction on all levels. Provide professional development targeted topics. Develop coaching plans for teachers to ensure student improvement. Through coaching increase the skills and knowledge of teachers to meet the needs of ELL students so they are able to succeed academically and in their acquisition of the English language as measured by WIDA. Utilize Adult Learning Theory to motivate adult learners to improve professional practice.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in the subject(s) related to teaching assignment.
Minimun of five (5) years of successful teaching experience with documented success in accelerated student growth and improving student achievement.
Proven record of implementing new practices or programs at a school.
Previous successful experience working with adult learners and Instructional Coaches to change classroom practices, instruction, and intervention practices.
Traning in and/or understanding of the role of Instructional Coach.
Previous experience in leadership roles
Passion for learning and teaching.
Valid Nevada Teaching License*
Valid Nevada Driver's License
CPR/First Aid/AED Certification is required for physical education, special education, and career & technical education teaching assignments
Start Date: 2024-2025 school year. Successful candidate must complete a thorough background check and pass mandatory pre-employment drug & alcohol testing.
