Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Engineer.
The Center for Advanced Imaging Innovation and Research (CAI2R, pronounced care) is a National Center for Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering supported by the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) and operated by the Department of Radiology at NYU Langone Health.
CAI2R comprises approximately 150 full-time personnel dedicated to imaging research, development, and clinical translation. Our team is diverse and highly collaborative. We work in interdisciplinary groups that include engineers, scientists, clinicians, technologists, and industry experts.

Job Responsibilities:

    • Work on exciting projects including
    • Connectome 2.0
    • Multi-nuclear, flexible and interventional coils
    • Electromagnetic similation tool development
    • Coil design
    • Simulation
    • Construction
    • Circuit board design and manufacture

Additional Position Specific Responsibilities:
Evaluation and troubleshooting
Responsible for collaborating with Principal Investigators (PI) and working independently with scientific framework of our lab.
Ensures timely and accurate completion of research projects.
contribute writings for publication

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Degree in engineering, physics, biomedical sciences or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in engineering, physics, biomedical sciences or related field
Experience with hands-on radiofrequency coil construction
Circuit board design and manufacture
Fluency in high-level software such as Matlab, CAD, and electromagnetic field simulators
Publications track record
Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Experience with the Siemens or other MRI platforms (preferred)

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $81325.32 - $81325.32 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
