Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Manager of Clinical Nutrition.
In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for the management of the inpatient Registered Dietitians (RD). Functions as a resource person to dietitians, nutrition students, residents, and medical team regarding the nutritional management of patients. This position is also responsible for the accurate functioning of the Food and Nutrition Services Department's CBORD NSS information system. Manages resources to ensure flawless execution of patient meal service with a focus on the accuracy of patient's diet and menu selections. Provides optimum nutritional care for patients through nutritional evaluation, assessment, counseling, and medical team communication.

Job Responsibilities:

    • Maintain open communications with the Director of Clinical Nutrition Services.
    • Assures appropriate staffing with skilled Nutrition professionals.
    • Maintain departments information system inclusive of establishing parameters and ensuring accuracy of the Epic/CBORD interface information. Makes recommendations for upgrades as necessary based on latest advances in research through continued education.
    • Assures accurate completion of patient menus in accordance with the approved current diet manual. Updates and corrects patient menu cycles/therapeutic diets and menu guide on a timely basis to reflect production line changes, patients specials, and best nutrition practices.
    • Seeks opportunities to continuously improve system. Educate and monitor Food and Nutrition staff to assure 100% compliance and accuracy of menu through continued performance improvement process.
    • Provides secondary coverage or support to registered dietitians functions such as assessing patients nutritional status /risk effectively and plans appropriate treatment accordingly.
    • Actively participates in patient satisfaction initiatives.
    • Provides assistance and contribute new ideas to the department.
    • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors Degree in Nutrition Science or related field.Registered Dietitian (RD). Successful completion of the RD exam approved through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) - the credentialing agency for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND). (Add NYS License).3-5 years clinical experience in healthcare setting.
Required Licenses: Dietetics-Nutrition-NYS, Registered Dietitian

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $81,325.15 - $135,541.73 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
