The Associate Designer is part of an exceptional team of award designers whose primary focus is to elevate the creative design and quality of custom awards that represent O.C. Tanner's standards of excellence. They are responsible for creating and designing custom award solutions for our recognition clients including die-struck, milled, and logo branded awards. They work with manufacturing in the production of these items and provide our clients with realistic conceptual renderings. They will research, design, and create beautiful recognition awards that meet client objectives. Additionally, they will pursue continuous opportunities to develop their design skills.

Responsibilities:

• Illustrate emblems, print collateral, branded products, and standard award options for use in both brochures and web sites with information supplied by the client using our current templates and business rules
• Communicate with Project Managers and Client Success Specialists to meet production deadlines including rush requests utilizing templates, libraries and programs
• Collaborate across multiple departments and teams to:
• Ensure art/design workflow aligns strategically with deadlines
• Ensure award designs are consistent with overall creative direction
• Review and understand the scope of any project, including program information and creative briefs
• Provide input to improve designs, production guidelines and workflow of the Award Design Team
• Apply business rules for each product type to assure producibility
• Draft concept illustrations of potential products. Work on enhancing existing product to make it more appealing
• Create production sketches and templates for the manufacturing of customizable products
• Modify existing logos and designs to meet specific production guidelines
• Participate in discovery research on client's brand, design functionality and production methods
• Utilize client's brand guidelines (colors, logos, imagery) to create a branded look across all designs
• Must be flexible and willing to work on multiple and varied projects simultaneously
• Maintain revisions to illustrations as requested by the client
• Manage and ensure proper file structure and naming conventions are followed
