This is a full-time onsite position which will begin August 2024. In this role, you will provide highly responsive construction management services in one of the firm’s core business lines.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Conduct daily inspections of site work and building construction for contract compliance, documenting discrepancies, code violations, and substandard workmanship
- Monitor daily construction activities to ensure adherence
- Review contractor's submittals for technical compliance with contract requirements, ensure consistency with approved submittals, and make recommendations for approval.
- Review contract requirements and contractor requests, prepare draft statements of work and estimates for contract modifications, and provide recommendations
- Review and analyze contractor change proposals and cost breakdowns, providing recommendations on technical merits and pricing elements.
- Assist in maintaining accurate job files, including as-built drawings and specifications, and use computerized management systems for documenting progress and processing requests.
- Perform safety audits and inspections, including reviewing infection control measures, and investigate and report accidents.
- Participate in weekly meetings with Senior Engineer and contractor, submit monthly reports on work status, and assist in planning disruptions to utility services to minimize impact on ongoing operations.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Desired experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering for design and construction projects, focusing on electrical systems, low voltage systems, and communication systems. Design-build project experience is required.
- Experience with hospital, laboratory, or Veterans Affairs construction projects a plus.
- Strong skills in managing client relationships.
- Solid understanding of schedule control, cost management, program budgeting, and overall project management activities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs, as well as Bluebeam and other industry-standard software. Experience with Kahua software is highly desirable.
- Ability to understand and accurately interpret construction documents at all design levels.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
