The Gloucester Public Schools serve nearly2,900 students in the historic coastal city of Gloucester on Cape Ann in Massachusetts. The GloucesterPublic School District is an Equal Opportunity Employer, which actively seeks to increase the diversity of its workforce.PLEASE POST● Recruit, hire, supervise, and evaluate In coordination with the school principal Special Education Teachers andEducation Support Professionals.● Schedule, supervise and support Education Support Professionals.● Develop and oversee all special education programming including the following specialized programs:Social/Emotional, Learning Center, and Language Based.● Ensure the effectiveness of 8th grade transition to 9th grade leading efforts to work with the high school specialeducation leaders and programs● Liaison with community agencies, educational advocates and educational attorneys.● Serve as LEA coordinator for out of district students in day and residential placements, in collaboration with theDirector of Special Education and Principal.● Support the Director of Special Education and Principal with a variety of special education functions, includingstaff support, evaluating staff, program evaluation and resource management.Position will become effective for the 2024-2025 school year, with a start date of July 1, 2024.
