O’Melveny has an immediate full-time opening for a Business Development Coordinator in our Texas offices. The Business Development Coordinator primarily supports the firm’s marketing and business development efforts, as described below.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintains the department’s opportunities, experience, and league table content.
  • Updates content for O’Melveny’s internal and external audiences, including biographies, practice descriptions, and website and social media content as needed.
  • Assists with the execution of firm-hosted business development and alumni events -- both virtually and in-person. This includes using the firm’s CRM system as well as broadcast email system to coordinate internal and external invitation sends, registration page set-ups, and management of RSVP lists. Individual will also coordinate with vendors and/or internal IT team members as well as support various logistics during the planning, rehearsal process (as applicable) and actual day of event needs.
  • Develops attendee lists for conference/sponsorship opportunities/speaking engagements and assists with materials (OMM giveaway items, program advertising, etc.)
  • Supports responses to Requests for Proposal, pitches, and presentations.
  • Assists with preparing legal directory and survey submissions.
  • Conducts research on clients, targets, and industries.
  • Assists with mailing list updates and prepares marketing communications (alerts and newsletters) using and firm’s CRM system and broadcast email system.
Knowledge, Skills And Experience
  • A minimum of one to three years of work experience in a law firm, a professional services environment, or comparable position in a corporation is preferred but will consider recent college graduates with focus and drive.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including, Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required.
  • Must be highly customer service oriented and technologically savvy.
  • Strong organization skills, ability to multi-task, demonstrate good judgment, prioritize, and exhibit sound political judgment in a multiple leader, team oriented, fast paced environment.
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required.
