O'Neal Vacation Rentals is Hiring a Vacation Rental Quality Assurance – Part Time – Traveling around Santa Cruz County Near Santa Cruz, CA

Position: This vital role is on the Quality Assurance team. Operating under the title of Property Care Specialist, you will be traveling throughout Santa Cruz to check on vacation rental properties. This is a part-time position.

Company: O’Neal Vacation Rentals is a small family-run company located in Santa Cruz. The company was co-founded in 2020 by a husband and wife team. We specialize in managing short-term rental properties with a dedicated passion that outperforms the competition. We hold ourselves to high standards and go the extra mile to ensure we exceed the expectations of both our clients (the homeowners) and our guests.

No position at OVR is status quo. We are a young company, and every employee is passionate about building something new and innovative. This is a part-time role dedicated to conducting inspections across properties and critical stocking amenities. It requires someone who has a critical eye for detail and is extremely organized, fast-paced, and willing to go above and beyond for the client and guest. The role requires traveling between properties in Santa Cruz County and also working in the company office. Given our infancy, the role is dynamic and intended to change and evolve. Initial expectations are as follows:

· Work independently to perform property inspections across Santa Cruz County by following a detailed checklist that ensures the property is cleaned, maintained, and prepared to the guest’s satisfaction.

· Complete amenity stocking by transporting items, taking inventory, and restocking items based on a formula.

· Perform basic in-home maintenance (replace light bulbs, troubleshoot lock issues, troubleshoot WIFI, tighten loose handles/doorknobs etc.).

· Problem-solve maintenance-related issues at properties with high quality and efficiency.

· Build and maintain business relationships and open lines of communication with other internal team members.

· Meet and maintain GOLD Standard in OVR Performance Standards across 10 key areas: Professional Ethical Behavior, Service Excellence, Adaptability Problem-Solving, Positivity Fun, Accountability, Time Management, Efficiency Productivity, Teamwork, Effective Communication, and Professional Development Innovation.

Skills Required:

· Strong attention to detail

· Excellent time management skills with the ability to demonstrate quality work to complete a checklist

· Proven ability to be both highly responsive and reliable

· Accountability and past experience working independently

· Technical computer skills are required on all forms of hardware - laptops, tablets, and mobile devices

· Professional in all forms of communication such as in person, email, phone calls, video calls, and texts

· Availability to work on Saturdays and Sundays, early mornings and evenings as needed.

· Adhere to all company policies and procedures

· Ability to stand, sit, and walk for an extended period of time

· Ability to reach overhead and below the waist and:

· Regularly push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds

· Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds

· Bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and twist

· Prior housekeeping experience is a plus

Working Conditions:

OVR values a work-from-office environment so that the entire team can work closely and collaborate on a daily and ongoing basis. The position requires frequent, repetitive use of a computer, phone, and office equipment. Requires patient, professional communication with our guests, clients, and vendors.

Schedule (Part-Time Shifts):

Below is a sample of the shifts available weekly -

· Monday: 10:30 am – 3:30 pm

· Tuesday: 10:30 am – 3:30 pm

· Wednesday: 10:30 am – 3:30 pm

· Thursday: 10:30 am – 3:30 pm

· Friday: 10:30 am – 3:30 pm

· Saturday: OFF

· Sunday: OFF

The schedule is subject to change.

Compensation

  • $18 / hour

Mileage Reimbursement

  • At the current IRS rate for driving required for the job

Monthly Cell Phone Stipend

  • $30/month towards cell phone bill
