Primary Purpose:
Assist teacher in preparation and management of classroom activities and technology in a STEM Camp environment. Work under supervision of certified teacher.
Dates of Service:
June 17-18; July 8th-25th; M-Thursday
Qualifications
Education/Certification:
Manor ISD High School student (currently enrolled; aged 16 years or older)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to work well with children
Ability to communicate effectively
Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to use personal computer, iPads, robotics kits, and software.
Experience:
Preferred experience working with children.
Essential Job Functions:
Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and technology.
Assist with administration of STEM equipment and work assignments.
Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher; work with individual students or small groups.
Keep teachers informed of special needs or problems of individual students.
May perform duties at either elementary or secondary campus.
Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.
Participate in faculty meetings and special events as assigned.
Maintain confidentiality
Report to work in a timely manner according to the assigned schedule.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or other administrator that are consistent with the general requirements and qualifications for the position.
