Lappen Eye Care is looking for a new team player to join the family as an ophthalmic technician. Our ideal candidate is someone who is excited to work with the public in a healthcare and retail atmosphere, understands the patient always comes first, and has the ability to multitask while focusing on the small details. This position will require someone with excellent time management skills and someone who is dependable. We are looking to fill this position immediately.

JOB DUTIES:

Greet patients, check patients in and out for their appointment.
Assist patients with scheduling appointments via email, phone and in person
Collect copays and balances for patients
Answer phones and assist patients with inquiries regarding orders and appointments.
Verify patient's insurance and assist patients with understanding their benefits
Assist patients with pre-examination testing

As a Technician at Lappen Eye Care, you are responsible to perform a variety of duties to assist in the examination including but not limited to: vision screenings, documentation of patient medical and ocular history, and performing diagnostic testing.

All other duties assigned by the office manager

Average work schedule will be 36-40 hours/week
