Oak View Group is Hiring a Financial Analyst| The Greensboro Coliseum Complex Near Greensboro, NC

Overview

The primary purpose of the Financial Analyst is to provide advanced accounting and Business Office support to the Coliseum venues, promoters and artist. Support includes performing complex financial analysis of live events that may result in payments to artists and promoters, preparation of complex journal entries to record settlements, monitoring of financial transactions, preparation of ticket related sales tax and artists withholdings, billing of clients and preparation of event financial reports. In addition, this position assists the Business Manager in preparation of the Coliseum budget, performs complex analysis of event balance sheet accounts and performs a wide variety of other accounting duties as directed. 

This role will pay an hourly rate between $24 - 28.

Responsibilities

  • Directs the overall Accounts Receivable process for the Coliseum. Prepares minor event settlements and miscellaneous billings which include proper follow-up with event managers and promoters to assure proper matching of event activity.
  • Negotiates items of discrepancy with event promoters and works with th GM, Director of Finance, and Event Managers to find appropriate solutions to issues.
  • Performs all event related accounting functions including journal entries, payments to third party vendors, and account reconcilements.
  • Conducts a monthly review of Accounts Receivables and follows up on past due concerns.
  • Rresponsible for all event P&Ls or flash reports by event type.

  • Oversees and manages all Aquatic Center (GAC) related items including monthly event settlements, team billings, and scoreboard payments.
  • Monitor and maintain event P&L information by event and month to produce an annual schedule for budget preparation along with periodic review and analysis
  • Assists the Director of Finance in preparation of the annual budget and monthly financial reports by performing various complex analyses to determine significant issues.
  • Coordinates the annual report process by collaborating with other departments to obtain information.
  • Administers the Purchase Order process by entering all Coliseum purchase requisitions through collaboration with various department personnel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or better from an accredited college or university in Finance or Accounting 
  • Minimum of 5 years relevent financial analysis or accounitng experience 
  • Knowledge of budget preparation and control
  • Be able to work late nights during the month end close and year end.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
