CSI Recruiting is Hiring a Staff Accountant Near Dallas, TX
CSI Recruiting is working with an established surface royalty ownership group headquartered in Dallas, TX. The company has interests in Land/Resource Management and Water Services Operations and creates revenue generation through the entire value chain of oil and gas development. The firm is looking to add a Staff Accountant to support the company's Land and Resource Management business segment.
Working with the company's Produced Water business unit, this individual will:
- Support the Senior Accountant responsible for the Land and Resource Management segment of the business.
- Prepare and record monthly oil and gas royalty revenue
- Prepare and record monthly surface, lease, easement, and material sales revenue (SLEM)
- Participate in the preparation of monthly financial statements, general ledger account reconciliations, and journal entries
- Review, investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities as they arise.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual flux analyses.
- Prepare daily Treasury reporting.
- Assist in daily cash forecasting and transactions.
- Prepare oil and gas royalty and SLEM related cash deposits.
- Develop relationships across the organization to facilitate information sharing and proper accounting for transactions.
- Maintain complete and accurate financial records in compliance with GAAP.
- Familiarize oneself with the company's legal entities and overall business.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- GAAP familiarity, in-depth and current
- 1-2 years of accounting experience required
- Computer literate, including full suite of MS Office applications
- Ability to maintain composure and presence of mind under pressure
- Strong work ethic and a reputation for integrity and mature business judgment
- A "hands-on" team player
- Ability to interface with all levels of personnel in an informal operating environment
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- Current CPA or working toward CPA preferred
- Oil & Gas experience preferred
