Chief of Performance Management, Equity & Accountability

Salary: $180,000 - $200,000

Summary:

Reporting to the Superintendent, the Chief of Performance Management, Equity & Accountability is responsible for devising and overseeing strategies for system-wide performance, equity, and accountability within the School District. This role demands a strategic vision for equity and accountability, guiding district-wide initiatives and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The position also involves fostering transparency, efficiency, and a culture focused on meeting the educational needs of all students, especially English Learners and those with IEPs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Assist the Superintendent in achieving district goals and ensuring best practices in strategic leadership and operational management.
  • Equity & Accountability: Lead and advocate for district-wide equity initiatives and strategies to enhance academic achievement and promote positive school climates.
  • System Improvement: Develop and implement performance management systems, monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and oversee data-driven strategies to improve student outcomes.
  • Program Development: Lead cross-divisional efforts to establish innovative schools and programs aligned with the district's strategic goals.
  • Grant Management: Ensure equitable allocation and management of Federal and State grant funds.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Learning & Teaching Office to assess and promote curriculum and instructional materials that advance inclusion, equity, and diversity.
  • Supervision & Evaluation: Supervise and evaluate assigned staff, manage departmental budgets, and provide leadership and direction for staff development and training.
  • Communication & Representation: Serve as a spokesperson for the district at various engagements, attend School Board meetings, and represent the district in written communications.
Experience:
  • 3-5 years as an Urban School Principal in K-12 public education.
  • 3-5 years as Deputy Superintendent or Assistant Deputy in an Urban School District.
  • At least 5 years of progressive leadership in advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion within an educational organization.
  • Experience in senior-level public education or governmental agency roles.
  • Proven track record of effective and innovative school and district improvement initiatives, including student and enrollment management, federal programs, and performance management systems.
  • Strong experience in Federal and State grant management.
  • Experience in leading or managing School Choice options is preferred.
Knowledge & Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of PA School Code, EEO, IDEA, Title IX, and related education regulations.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing effective strategies to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Ability to research, identify, and apply best practices in equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Previous Title IX training or administration experience is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze data, research, and partnerships to drive a performance-focused culture
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Educational Administration, Educational Leadership, Human Resources, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Educational Administration, Educational Leadership, Human Resources, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership or Educational Administration.

Additional Duties:

  • Actively participate in professional growth activities and stay informed about local, state, and national guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent
