Oaks Dumpster Rental is Hiring a Dispatcher Near Williamsville, NY

Oaks Dumpster Rental is looking for an experienced Dispatcher to help cover our Western NY team. The Dispatcher reports directly to the Operations Manager in Rochester, NY.

The compensation for this position is hourly with expected overtime (48 hour workweek). The targeted compensation listed is including overtime.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee operational processes including making recommendations to overall efficiency.
  • Supervise driver personnel (Hiring, development and scheduling, appropriate records, etc).
  • Work with Fleet Manager regarding company assets (management of trucks, containers, repair shops, inventory, proper permits etc).
  • Dispatch (oversee the daily dispatch and GPS activities and assist in managing same day requests).
  • Assist with expansion functions when requested including but not limited to location scouting, negotiations, dump site negotiations, permitting etc.
  • Analyze business requirements and customer needs.
  • Participate in strategic planning and goal setting for all business functions.
  • Occasional job site visit and form relationships with on-site personnel at big job sites.
  • Work daily with sales team to plan out specific needs and daily conditions.
  • Communicate with homeowners when drivers are having an issue on-site
  • Work together with the companies under Oaks Brands for the greater good of the businesses.
  • Provide administrative support.
  • Approve invoices assigned to you.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Associates degree strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience implementing operational processes.
  • Previous experience as an Operations supervisor or similar role.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Team Leadership and excellent communications skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced/ever-changing environment.
  • Must be able to navigate difficult employee scenarios and interactions with ease.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $51,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Dispatching: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Customer Service: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Operations: 2 years (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Williamsville, NY 14221: Relocate before starting work (Required)
