Obesity Medicine Association is Hiring a Membership Marketing Specialist Near Centennial, CO

Membership Marketing Specialist

Hours: Full-time 

Status: Exempt 

The Membership Marketing Specialist role is mostly remote with some in-office attendance (typically twice a month on 1st and 3rd Tuesdays or as scheduled in advance) required. Must live local to Denver Metro area. 

Responsibilities/Duties:

The Membership Marketing Specialist will lead the execution of the following duties and responsibilities: 

  • Develop, deploy and track multichannel membership recruitment campaigns, primarily through digital advertising and email 
  • Manage ongoing customized onboarding, engagement, and retention automated email journeys within email marketing system (such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud) 
  • Manage and execute effective email marketing campaigns utilizing communication/ automation tools such as Marketing Cloud. Monitor engagement and drive funnel advancement. Ensure accurate demographic list pull, strong copywriting skills, and segmentation for email marketing campaigns including monthly newsletters and weekly update campaigns.
  • Assist Mentorship Program, Board Elections and Committee Application Process through copywriting, form system integration, promotional communication and project management support 
  • Provide support with membership engagement initiatives (Member Happy Hour, Lunch and Learn, etc.) by attending online events, developing promotional campaigns to drive attendance, providing technical support as needed (through Zoom, Teams, or similar) 
  • Participate in Membership Committee as the staff liaison from marketing to support committee projects and communicate needs to the marketing team 
  • Manage Member Resource documents including distribution and access as new resources are developed 
  • Continually seek and research new sources of prospective customer data and sales leads to provide recommendations to marketing leadership 
  • Work with membership and sales to provide support to local obesity networking groups relationships and fulfillment of marketing initiatives 
  • Create and deploy automated inbound customer journeys through Marketing Cloud email platform 
  • Craft and deploy strategic initiatives to engage leads from external events 
  • Travel to conferences, courses and external shows as assigned and execute onsite duties as assigned, possibly multiple times per year. Attendance at the annual conference every spring is mandatory for all employees 

Experience and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, communications, or design is required 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in marketing, PR, communications, or design is required with at least 2 years in a communications-focused role. 5-7 years of experience is preferred 
  • Experience in a B2B/B2C inbound/outbound content marketing for a healthcare company or an Association/society setting preferred 
  • Graphic design skills required, specifically with Adobe Creative Suite. Must provide digital design portfolio 
  • Website content management and email marketing (HTML) experience required 
  • Superior communication skills with strong attention to detail while meeting deadlines on multiple projects within a fast-paced collaborative environment 
  • Strong writing, editing and proofing skills 

Salary Range: $60,000-$75,000
