OC Academy engages in academic counseling and college application services for high school students, as well as private schools application for k-12 graders. We are seeking an Entrepreneurship Competition Coach for High School Students. This is a part-time position and available to work remotely from 2-10 hours/week (same times weekly), depending on your schedule. These hours can generally be sometime between 3-8pm PST weekdays or on weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Designing a one or two months short-term high-enrichment training course in entrepreneurship, and drafting the relevant syllabus.
• Giving class according to the syllabus that focuses on the challenge/theme of the business competition.
• Brainstorming with students who are preparing the competition to figure out the main content of the project according to the requirements of the competition.
• Leading students to do market research, competitor research, data collection, and complete the business plan step by step.
• Modifying and improving the business plan to ensure the final product is in the most perfect condition and is ready to participate in the competition.
• Tutoring students in elevator pitch, supervising students to take and edit the pitch video, and uploading relevant projects within the stipulated time according to the competition requirements.
• If the students’ projects qualify the finalist/semi-finalist, the coach needs to accompany and instruct the student for the final presentation or award activities on site.

Requirements:

• Master/Doctor Degree of Finance, Economics, Marketing, Entrepreneurship or related field, MBA is the most preferable.
• Experienced with business plan, marketing plan and elevator pitch.
• Passion in instructing & cooperating with our young innovators and entrepreneurs; creative, innovative, responsible and patient, very open-minded.
• Familiar with high school entrepreneurship competitions such as Blue Ocean Competition, Pirates Pitch Competition, Diamond Challenge or Conrad Challenge, previous experiences as a contestant or the winner is a huge plus!
