Job TitleSocial Media Specialist
Pay DetailsThe annual base salary range for this position in California is $69,000 to $77,250 per year. The starting pay for the successful candidate depends on various job-related factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education/training, internal value, peer equity, external market demands, and organizational considerations.
The Social Media Specialist spearheads the creation and management of engaging content across various social media platforms. This role involves ensuring cohesive and effective social campaigns, delivering compelling and consistent messaging across all social channels for cross functional needs. This role focuses on enhancing fan interaction, devising, and executing social media campaigns, and refining strategies to elevate brand presence online.
ResponsibilitiesManaging/Creating Social Strategy:
  • Develop comprehensive social media strategies tailored to the organization's goals and target audience
  • Identify and capitalize on emerging trends, platform updates, and best practices to optimize engagement and reach
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align social media efforts with broader marketing and business objectives
Content Creation
  • Generate creative and engaging content for various social media platforms, including written posts, images, videos, and interactive elements
  • Ensure content adheres to brand guidelines and resonates with the target demographic, capturing the essence of live entertainment and pop culture
  • Curate user-generated content and leverage storytelling techniques to foster meaningful connections with followers
Digital Presence
  • Maintain an active and responsive digital presence, engaging with followers in real-time to address inquiries, feedback, and comments
  • Serve as the public-facing representative of the organization online, embodying its values and fostering a sense of community among followers
Social Monitoring
  • Monitor social media channels proactively to track performance metrics such as engagement, reach, and sentiment
  • Respond to customer inquiries and comments promptly, escalating issues as necessary to maintain positive brand perception
  • Utilize social listening tools to gather insights, identify trends, and anticipate potential crises or opportunities
Campaign Management
  • Plan, execute, and optimize paid social media advertising campaigns across multiple platforms, including budget allocation and audience targeting
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners to promote events effectively, leveraging social media to drive ticket sales and attendance
  • Analyze campaign performance data to refine strategies, maximize ROI, and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs)
Research
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and platform updates, conducting ongoing research to inform social media strategies
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and experimentation, testing new content formats, features, and tactics to enhance engagement and growth
Analytics
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of social media efforts, generating actionable insights and recommendations
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings, successes, and areas for improvement to stakeholders across the organization
Branding
  • Ensure seamless alignment of brand tone and voice while addressing guest inquiries, comments, and concerns on social media and email platforms to enhance overall guest satisfaction and prevent escalation
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all social media channels, maintaining brand integrity and recognition
  • Collaborate with the design team to develop visually compelling assets and graphics that align with brand guidelines and campaign objectives
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with the communications department, event promoters, internal departments, and external partners to coordinate social media activities and amplify marketing initiatives in addition to aligning on all external communications
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and brainstorming sessions to align social media strategies with broader organizational goals and initiatives
Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in communications, journalism, or marketing
  • 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing or content creation roles
  • Proficiency in major social media platforms and their respective features
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with superior editing abilities
  • Fluency in Spanish (written and verbal) is a plus
  • Experience in photo and video editing, with proficiency in tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or Final Cut Pro
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Passion for the live entertainment industry, sports, music, and pop culture
  • Able to provide specific examples of previous work and accomplishments
