Occam Solutions is Hiring a Senior Data Engineer Near Washington, DC
We are hiring for a Senior Data Engineer. The Data Engineer will work with the client to enable Enterprise Information Management services (e.g. metadata management, data tagging, data cataloging, etc.), data pipeline services based on mission needs and objectives of our client as they continue the build out and maintenance of their Big Data Platform infrastructure, platforms, and software.
Experience needed:
- Experience with enterprise streaming data use cases is preferred.
- Experience operating under a platform Authority to Operate in cloud environments, and hands-on experience in Risk Management Framework (RMF) security assessments, documenting assessments, and communicating the outcomes of these assessments to leadership.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
- Experience with CI/CD, ETL, Data Pipelines and Data Lakes.
- AWS and Kubernetes experience needed.
- Experience with Jenkins, Python and Terraform are critical.
- Experience with Apache airflow is required.
- Python experience is required.
- Panda is a plus, but not required.
- Experience operating data pipelines. Our devops team will build the pipeline, but the DE will need to know how to operate them.
Education requirements:
- A master's degree in a specialized field plus a minimum of 1 year of applicable experience; or, a bachelor's degree in the specialized field plus 7 years of applicable experience; or, a bachelor's degree in any field with a minimum of 9 years of specialized experience.
A secret clearance is needed for this role. Candidates that do NOT possess a Secret clearance will be declined.
