Oceana County Medical Care Facility is Hiring a Housekeeping/Laundry Near Hart, MI

Housekeeping Position at the Oceana County Medical Care Facility is looking for a service oriented people to work in a friendly atmosphere in the housekeeping department. Experience in housekeeping is a plus.

The position is primarily 2nd shift, with the hours of 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm, possibility of some 1st shift openings. This is for up to 32 hours a week, with a possibility for more hours. The position has every 3rd weekend off and works every other holiday.

Housekeeper Duties and Responsibilities:

A Housekeeper is responsible for taking care of a building’s general cleanliness to provide tidy and sanitary amenities to guests and residents. Their duties include cleaning floors, making beds and dusting surfaces throughout a home or other building.

Understanding the company’s policy on work shifts, guest’s possessions and privacy issues.

A Housekeeper needs to clean the work area to the standards of their employer. This requires attention to detail, physical strength and the stamina to work long shifts. Here are examples of a Housekeeper’s duties:

  • Provide basic housekeeping duties including restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting and rearranging the room after guests check out
  • Report and return any resident properties found in the rooms while rendering service
  • Report cases of property damage in commercial spaces to supervisor
  • Work with a team of housekeepers on each shift
  • Clean, disinfect and store all equipment at the end of the shift
  • Maintain a positive relationship with employees and guests
  • Respond to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glass
  • Collect and remove trash and debris
  • Report, turn in and log all lost and found items
  • Perform detailed deep cleans when required

Pay: $15.86 - $20.14 per hour
