Overview

Senior Project Manager | Multifamily & Commercial Construction Miami, FL Octagon Talent Solutions is seeking experienced Senior Project Managers who will lead on-site administration to guarantee compliance with project requirements regarding budget, quality and schedule. Working alongside the design partners, subcontractors and owners, the Senior Project Managers will also manage daily contract administration, coordinating shop drawings, procurement, commissioning, and weekly jobsite coordination meetings.

Enforcing contractor and subcontractor safety programs, these dynamic Project Managers will monitor and optimize project schedules/curves, as well as ensuring appropriate budget review and project cost management to ensure budget compliance. Responsibilities

  • Generate the primary schedule and weekly updates. Prepare pay applications and all project close-out documents. Conduct owner and subcontractor meetings.
  • Monitor the performance of the field operations, prepare in P6 subcontractor scopes, negotiate contracts and buyouts, and change order management.
  • Manage safety and quality effort for the project, utilizing safety and QC resources appropriately.
  • Project financial reports, including updated cost projections.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships with the goal of repeat profitable business.
  • Review project proposals or plans to determine the time frame, financial objectives, and procedures for accomplishing work, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources during various phases of the project.
  • Establish a work plan, budget, and staffing for each phase of project and arrange for the assignment of project personnel.
  • Identify changes in scope or differing conditions and secure appropriate change orders for project cost and time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or experience equivalent.
  • 8-10 years of experience as a Project Manager.
  • Experience in multifamily and/or public sector/municipal projects preferred.
  • Ability to perform financial analysis; draft and understand contracts.
  • Ability to manage a team, resolve disputes and foresee potential cost or schedule issues.
  • Outstanding oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Procore preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Expedition, Suretrack, and P6 (or equivalent) is required.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
