Material Handler Job Description
Location: Cincinnati, OH, 45246
Skills: Nightshift Material Handler
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Material Handler to join our team in Cincinnati, OH. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials with a forklift within our manufacturing facility. This position is from 6pm-6am, working 12 hour rotational shifts on a 2-2-3 (working every other weekend, 36hrs one week and 48 the next).
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload gaylords from manufacturing equipment in congested areas of operation and warehouse
- Move materials to and from storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment
- Ensure that materials are properly labeled and stored in the correct location
- Perform inventory checks and maintain accurate records of materials
- Assist with the packaging and shipping of materials as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to the required standard
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or similar role
- Valid forklift certification
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work night shifts
