Seamex Technician | Photopolymer Sleeve (ITR) Production Technician

The OEC Seamex Technician is part of a team of experts, dedicated to innovation, working day after day to successfully translate graphics into well-known brands in the marketplace. In this role, the Seamex Technician is responsible for the quality manufacturing of continuous in-the-round (ITR) photopolymer sleeves for print,to meet production schedules and customer ship dates. The Seamex Technician positively represents and promotes the OEC image and proactively provides solutions within the ever-changing flexographic industry.

Location: Oshkosh, Wisconsin

Status: Full-time, benefit eligible; Non-exempt (hourly)

Salary: Rate of pay is based on comparable work experience. Entry-level (limited to no related experience) starts at $21.00 per hour, plus 3rd shift differential.

Shift: 4-10's;overnight, Monday through Thursday, typically 9:00 pm to 7:00 am

Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform merging, vulcanizing, coating, grinding, and imaging operations to produce continuous in-the-round (ITR) photopolymer sleeves to meet production schedule and customer ship dates while maintaining the highest quality standards.
• Develop and increase production capacity and efficiency within the department by sharing knowledge and production methods on equipment usage.
• Record job billing of time and materials as required.
• Monitor and appropriately utilize inventory to minimize waste and ensure inventory is available.
• Proactively communicate changes that impact manufacturing.
• Adhere to all pertinent safety and quality standards, checks, and procedures. Participation in all safety and quality training is required.
• Perform equipment maintenance and department housekeeping tasks as needed or scheduled.
• Any other duties as assigned to maintain effective operations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Basic math aptitude; individual must know basic math skills and be able to read a ruler
• Ability to communicate both written and verbal.
• Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles and ability to work in a continuous improvement environment
• Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously
• Demonstrates independent judgment
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or equivalent is required. Prior experience in printing/publishing is preferred but not necessary.

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
